Melissa Eileen Morlan, 49, of Terre Haute died Thursday, January 31, 2013, in Meadows Manor East Convalescent Center. She was born June 5, 1963 in Brazil, IN to Ray Morlan and Norma Hatfield Morlan.

Survivors include her sister, Marilyn Brackney and her husband Jerry of Brazil; three brothers, Charles Edward Kirkpatrick of Danville IL, Joseph Morlan of Louisville, KY and Stephen Morlan and his wife Teri of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, David Morlan.

Melissa was a member of First Christian Church of Brazil. She was a 1981 graduate of Brazil High School, had participated in Special Olympics, where she had won several medals and was a resident of Normal Life of Terre Haute. She enjoyed bowling, listening to music especially Elvis and dancing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 4, 2013, in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, February 3, 2013 in the funeral home. Funeral information is also available at:
