CASEY, Ill. — Algene Williams, 79, of Casey, passed away at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Casey Health Care Center, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born Dec. 25, 1933, the daughter of Frank L. Hudson and Wilma Marie Chapman Hudson. On April 5, 1953, she married William A. “Bill” Williams, at Casey White Oak Church of God.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Bill Williams; children, Cheryl Logsdon and husband Jim of St. Elmo, Patti Daniels and husband Ron of Blue Mound, Mo., Brad Williams and wife Leslie of Casey, and Dana Williams and wife Stephanie of Pleasant View, Tenn.; brothers, Ron Hudson and wife Donna of Casey, Larry Hudson and wife Betty of Moweaqua, Gary Hudson of Casey, Delbert Hudson and wife Ann of Villa Grove, Tony Kent Hudson of Rio Medina, Texas; special friend Melissa Oritz; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Kevin DeLee Hudson Corley.

Algene was a 1952 graduate of Casey High School. She retired after working for the Alltel telephone office as an operator for more than 25 years. Algene also cleaned houses for many years and was an Avon representative for more than 10 years. She was a lifetime member of the Casey White Oak Church of God and sang in the church choir.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. CST Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the church, 3305 E. 1000th Road., with the Rev. Kenny Inman officiating. Burial will follow at Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave.
