TERRE HAUTE — Kathryn Louise Hart Stephens, 95, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully at Royal Oaks Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, on Jan. 27, 2013. She was born in Fort Wayne, on Nov. 23, 1917, to Earl and Mary Hart. She was the oldest of seven siblings. Kathryn was married to Charles Joseph Stephens on Aug. 13, 1938. They had three children, Patricia, Michael, and Rita. She was a homemaker, an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and an avid golfer. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone that knew her.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; brothers, Harold, Earl, and Robert; and sister, Edna. She is survived by her children, Patricia and William McCarty, Michael and Janice Stephens, and Rita and Donald Balder. She has nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. Rosary, at Roselawn Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of Kathryn’s Mass of Christian burial at 1 p.m., at St. Joseph University Parish, 113 S. 5th St. Friar John Bamman, OFM. Conv. will celebrate mass with the Rite of Committal to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Altar Society. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at:
