BRAZIL, Ind. —
Geraldine Ullery, 69, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital, in Brazil. She was born Nov. 6, 1943, in Brazil, to Clyde Laverne and Marie Fugate Bridgewater. Geraldine graduated from Brazil High School in 1961, and went on to marry her high school sweetheart on Dec. 24, 1965, before earning her master’s degree in elementary education from Indiana State University. She retired from Clay Community Schools after 38 years of teaching.
She was a member of First Christian Church, in Brazil, and served as past president of the following sororities, Delta Theta Tau, Alpha Delta Kappa and the Delt Alumni. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Dan and Jettye Ullery; and a half brother, Jack Bridgewater.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Ullery; son:, David (Mary) Ullery of Omaha, Neb.; brother, Tom (Denise) Bridgewater of Bowling Green; sisters, Nancy (Bill) House of Clearwater, Fla., Linda (Curt) Kumpf of Minot, N.D., Susie (Mike) Howard of Brazil, Sally (Don) Stultz, and Molly (Jim) Wood, all of Mooresville; sister-in-law, Linda (Joe) Badger of Bloomington; grandchildren, Clare Ullery and Dominic Ullery; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, with burial to follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the church, and from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service, also at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church.
