TERRE HAUTE —
Glenn R. Lucas, a lifelong Terre Haute resident, passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Union Hospital, at the age of 78.
Glenn was born on July 28, 1933, the son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Good) Lucas. He was a 1951 graduate of Honey Creek High School and would go on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army. Glenn retired from Teamsters 144 and had worked at the Post Office, Tribune-Star, Plumbers and Steam Fitters, along with owning Dunkin Donuts for 18 years.
Glenn was an avid fisherman, and also belonged to the Masonic Lodge No. 86, Free & Accepted Masons. He will forever be remembered for his strong willed, yet kind and caring demeanor, along with his hardworking and independent spirit.
He leaves behind his three sons, Richard “Rick” Lucas of Lake Elsinore, Calif., and Scott and wife Stephanie Lucas and Bradley “Brad” Lucas, all of Terre Haute; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Lucas of North Palm Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Scotty Jr., Brackin, Robin and Reid; and sister, Wilma Talbott of Terre Haute.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, John Talbott.
Cremation will take place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Roselawn Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at: www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
