TERRE HAUTE —
Frederick Asay was born July 13, 1951, in Terre Haute, to Harold and Margaret Dalgarn Asay. He went to be with the Lord and his parents on the morning of April 29, 2012.

Fred was a substitute teacher for Vigo County School Corporation and taught at various schools within Terre Haute. He loved wood-working, reading, doing cross word puzzles, watching the news, walking at Dobbs Park, cooking and spending time with his basset, Grace.
Fred was well liked and admired by all. He was intelligent, hardworking, and honest, and he had a great sense of humor. He was a wonderful father, the best father, and a loyal friend.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 10 a.m., at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive. Fred’s cousin, Brother Mark Carrico will be officiating. Burial will be at South Vigo Cemetery.
