TERRE HAUTE — Evelyn Anderson Paige (94) of Terre Haute died at 8:00 a.m. on July 23, 2012, at Westminster Village.

Evelyn was born May 2, 1918, in Dugger, IN, to Roy O. Anderson and Elsie Dugger Anderson. Her husband Warner H. Paige preceded her in death in 1984; and her son Stephen in 2011.

Survivors include two sons, Warner III of Telluride, CO, Robert of Washington, IN and one daughter, Jane Paige Hardman of Telluride, CO, one sister-in-law, Dr. Marcella Anderson of Hobart, IN, 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth M. Paige of Bend, OR, Amy C. Paige of Seattle, WA, Jacki Stodgill of Vincennes, IN, Stephen Paige Jr. of Orlando, FL, Jeffrey Paige of Ocala, FL, Robert Paige, Jr., of Jacksonville, FL, Christopher Paige of Vincennes, IN., and triplet granddaughters, Anna of Taos, NM, Paige of Seattle, WA, and Sarah Hardman of New York, NY. She also had nine great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She attended Indiana University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, Pleides Honorary and TAPS. In 1940 she married Warner Paige and moved to Terre Haute where she belonged to Kappa Kappa Kappa sorority, the League of Terre Haute, Children’s Theater, Sigma Alpha Iota music sorority, PEO Sisterhood, Crittenden Home Board, Civic Music Board, TOBIES, Country Club of Terre Haute, 1st Congregational Church where she was a charter member of the Mayflower Guild and sang in the choir for 40 + years.

Memorial services will be Friday, July 27. Visitation will be in the hospitality room of 1st Congregational Church on Ohio Street at 1 p.m. Friday and a memorial service at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Dawn Carlson officiating. Cremation is scheduled with burial in Highland Lawn Cemetery. The family suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Paige Memorial Fund at the 1st Congregational Church, 630 Ohio St., Terre Haute, IN, 47807.
