TERRE HAUTE —
Christopher M. Barratt, 52, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 9:15 a.m.. in his residence. Chris was born June 27, 1960, in Alderson, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his mother. Chris attended Owen Valley High School and later Indiana University. He was quite proud of his academic achievements. He was an avid reader and a lover of all things trivia. Chris could be seen frequenting downtown Terre Haute, carrying his library books and chatting with people. He made quite an impression on the people he met. He truly was a pillar of the downtown community. He was strong-willed and very quick-witted with an infectious laugh. He was filled with stories and tidbits on topics ranging from Icarus to "I Love Lucy". Chris made quite an impact amongst the streets of Terre Haute and will be sorely missed by many. Godspeed, my friend.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 3 p.m., at Central Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Seventh St., with a reception immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Reception is compliments of Boo's Crossroads Cafe'. The Revs. Lant B.
