TERRE HAUTE — Emmer Sue “Susie” Lewis, 62, of West Terre Haute, passed away 11:58 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, in Union Hospital’s emergency room, in Terre Haute. She was born, Aug. 30, 1949, in Terre Haute, to Carl and Kathleen Brown. Her husband, William Hamilton Lewis III, whom she married March 25, 1967, in West Terre Haute, preceded her in death on June 16, 2003.

Survivors include four children, William H. Lewis IV and companion Wendy, Matthew Lewis and wife Carol, and Rachele Przybycien and husband Frank, all of West Terre Haute, and Austin Lewis and wife Wendy of Terre Haute; a half sister, Judy Long and husband Herb of Terre Haute; 12 grandchildren, William Lewis, Amishia Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Michael Nicoson, Brittany Lewis, Katie Nicoson, Harley Johnston, Dalton Ritter, Meaghan Przybycien, Curyn Przybycien, Alaina Przybycien, and Ashlee Lewis; and five great-grandchildren, Logan Roberts, Kaelynn Lewis, Heaven Stedman, Ernest Osborn, and Dylan Bailey. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Edger Brown.

Cremation was chosen. The family will be having a gathering of friends and family for a memorial tribute and a carry-in dinner at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at 1330 8th Ave., in Terre Haute, which is located right next to the railroad tracks on 8th Avenue near 13th St. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, in West Terre Haute, assisted with arrangements.
