TERRE HAUTE — Chalice A. Greiner, 96, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012, at 3:50 p.m., in Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Sept. 16, 1915, in Butlerville, to Robert Rascoe and Rinda J. Large Rascoe.

Chalice was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Daughters of the Nile Chapter 34 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972 Auxiliary. She enjoyed bingo, loved to travel, especially on cruises and loved her family.

Chalice was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Harold E. Greiner, who passed away April 15, 1976. She also was preceded in death by siblings; Elmer Rascoe, Zella Cottington, Cecil Rascoe, Doris Rascoe and Mary Rascoe; and two grandsons, Scott Fagg and Ted Heithecker.

She is survived by a son, Steve Greiner and wife Peg of Terre Haute; and daughter, Gloria Trader and husband John, of Terre Haute; nine grandchildren, Michael Heithecker, Ben Greiner, Taz Greiner, Tom Greiner and Becky Greiner; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., with visitation from noon until service time. The Rev. Ken Coffman will be officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at: www.greinerfuneralhome.com
