Albert M. Cooper

TERRE HAUTE — Albert M. Cooper, 75, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 11:32 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012, in his residence. He was retired from the Vigo County School Corporation after many years of service. He was born Jan. 19, 1937, in West Terre Haute, to John Cooper and Mary Knight Cooper.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Ruth Orndorff Cooper; five children, Rochelle Bradford and husband Karl of Dennison, Ill., Dennis Cooper and wife Donna of West Terre Haute, Larry Cooper and wife Terri of St. Mary-of-the-Woods, and Peggy Cooper and Michael Cooper, both of West Terre Haute; six grandchildren, Christopher Bradford, Andrew Bradford, Keri Wasson, Jonathan Cooper, Derrick Cooper, and Zaun Myers; three great-grandchildren, Gavin, Braxton, and Alex; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Norma Cooper, and Charles and Lori Cooper, all of West Terre Haute, Jack and Jo Cooper of Williamsport, and Keith and Thelma Paul of Idaho; a sister and brother-in-law, Mamie and Ron Knight of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Vernon Cooper.

According to his wishes, cremation has been scheduled with burial of his ashes in Livingston (Ill.) Cemetery at a later date. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
