Douglas Edward Owens

WIGGINS, Miss. — Douglas Edward Owens, 68, of Wiggins, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, in Hattiesburg, Miss.

He was of Baptist faith and was a retired millwright at Southern Converting.

Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas E. Owens and Irlean Ladner Owens; and sister, Tommi Lee Owens.

He is survived by his wife, Fredia “Polly” Owens of Terre Haute, Ind.; two daughters, Amy Owens of Arlington, Va., and Jill Owens of Wiggins; two stepsons, Jason Gaudard (Amanda) of Terre Haute, and Jordan Gaudard (Cortney) of Copperas Cove, Texas; one granddaughter, Emery Owens of Arlington; one sister, Patsy Finlay of Jonesboro, Ga.; and his dog, Abby.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. CDT Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Moore Funeral Service, in Wiggins, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
