TERRE HAUTE — Gregory Allan Phillips, 52, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 9:59 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Union Hospital after a battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 16, 1960, in Terre Haute, to James L. Phillips and Elizabeth A. Mason Phillips.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Phillips of West Terre Haute; his daughter, Peggy Jo Phillips; his grandson, Brett May; and his granddaughter, Sophia May, all of West Terre Haute; three brothers, James Phillips and his wife Judy, Rance Phillips, and Anthony Phillips, all of West Terre Haute; a niece, Angileah Bark and her husband Bill and their daughter, Jessa Bark, all of West Terre Haute; and a nephew, David C. Phillips and his wife Leslie and their son, Owen Phillips, all of Algonquin, Ill. He was preceded in death by his, father, James L. Phillips.

Greg enjoyed gun collecting, shooting, and riding horses.

Funeral services for Greg will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third St., in West Terre Haute, with the Rev. Mike Baker officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann’s Clinic with envelopes available in the funeral home.
