TERRE HAUTE —
Betty L. Ross, 78, of West Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at 12:13 p.m., surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Sparks, Nev., on Oct. 29, 1934. She worked at Ewing and Canterbury nursing homes as a dietitian. She had been a food demonstrator at Krogers. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Bud” O. Ross.
She is survived by her children, John “Bud” Ross and wife Julie of West Terre Haute, Elain Abel of Terre Haute, Kathleen Ross and fiancé Mark of Kentucky; grandchildren, Brandon Abel and wife Amber of Edwards AFB, Calif., Elliott Abel and wife Melanie, Aaron Abel, Emily Ross, Sarah Ross, Leah Ross, and a very special friend Kenny Fell; and two great-granddaughters, Ashton and Ainsely Abel .
Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at 7 p.m., in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive. Pastor Michael W. Seals will be officiating. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until services Thursday. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Dave Thomas foundation for adoption. Online condolences can be made at:
