TERRE HAUTE — Robert Joseph Richardson Jr., 52, of Terre Haute, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012. He was born Nov. 1, 1959, in Linton, to Carolyn Sue (Morse) Richardson and Robert Joseph Richardson Sr. He was a graduate of South Vigo High School and was employed at Carter Farms. He worked construction for many years. Robert was a motorcycle enthusiast and a past champion in Motocross.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Sue Richardson of Terre Haute; father and stepmother, Robert Joseph Richardson Sr. and Donetta Rose Richardson of West Terre Haute; brothers, Bradley Richardson and wife Kathy of Terre Haute, Bret Richardson of Hymera, and Brent Richardson of Brownstown; nieces, Dr. Jennifer Lopshire and husband Drew of Noblesville, Lindsay Richardson of Lafayette, and Emma Richardson of Brownstown; nephews, Dustin Richardson of Nashville, Tenn., Tyler Richardson of West Terre Haute, Austyn Richardson of Jasonville, and Brian and Jacob Richardson, both of Brownstown; aunts, Jean Miller of Jasonville, and Terry Wilks and husband Tom of Clinton; great-aunts, Norma Williams of Winter Heaven, Fla., Delores Sexton and Phyllis Sexton, both of Jasonville; and several cousins and special friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rathmell and Mildred (Taylor) Richardson, and Ronald and Juanita (Sexton) Morse; one uncle; and several great-aunts and great-uncles.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E, Springhill Drive. The Rev. David Deal will be officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Cemetery in southern Vigo County. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until service time. Online condolences can be left at:
