TERRE HAUTE — Richard G. Olson, 89, of Dearborn, Mich., and formerly of Terre Haute, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012. Beloved husband of Virginia Ann for 65 years. Dear father of Stephen (Janet) and Mary Ann “Polly” Chevela (Phillip). Dear grandfather of Elizabeth M., Catherine L. VanProyen (Aaron W.) and David W. (Heather F.). Loving brother of Mary Virginia. Brother-In-Law and lifelong friend, Leonard J. Rostek, both of Terre Haute, and the Late Helen May Rostek. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Richard was a World War II veteran serving both European and Pacific Theatres from 1943 – 1946.

Funeral services are Tuesday 11 a.m. from Henry Ford Village Chapel, 15101 Ford Rd., in Dearborn, with the Rev. Kurt Gephard presiding. Visitation Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Mich. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Henry Ford Village, 15101 Ford Rd., Dearborn, MI 48126.
