Jean Ellen Kirkham - Forrest - Hedge - Kellems

TERRE HAUTE — Jean Ellen Kirkham - Forrest - Hedge - Kellems, 67, of Terre Haute, passed way Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family. Jean was born March 23, 1945, in Terre Haute to Herman Kirkham and Amelia Walworth Kirkham, and was raised by Russell Turner and Amelia Turner. Jean retired as a bookkeeper for the Terre Haute Parks Department.

Jean was a great supporter of Charles Stanley Evangelism and loved God. She was a graduate of Garfield High School, was an amazing artist with a special gift for drawing and painting. Jean loved her family and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her Mother, Amelia Turner of Terre Haute; her husband, John Kellems, whom she married April 13, 1999, also of Terre Haute; one daughter, Amee Hedge - Cox of Terre Haute; one son, James Forrest of Terre Haute; two stepdaughters, Jamie Stofel and husband Kerry of Lobelville, Tenn., and Dana Lynn Kellems of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one stepson, John Wesley Kellems of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Savannah Johnson - Forrest, Kelsey Cox, Samantha Cox, and Jared Forrest; stepgrandchildren, Kyle Smithson, Jessica Mangrum, and Erika Cooper; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Gage Smithson and Weston Paul Cooper; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; and two brothers, Larry George Kirkham and James Kirkham.

Memorial services will 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. until service time. Pastor Craig Wininger will be officiating, musical selections will be provided by the Rev. Curtis Mitchell. Cremation has been chosen. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. The family has suggested that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. On line condolences may be made at: www.greinerfuneralhome.com
