West Terre Haute — Guindline Walker, 90, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 5:56 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in her residence. She retired as a supervisor with CBS Records, in Terre Haute, for more than 35 years. She was born Feb. 25, 1923, in Vigo County, to James W. McLain and Mable Knight McLain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Walker.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Grover Bud Walker; four nephews, Gary Thornton, Jerry Thornton and wife Mary, Terry Thornton and wife Susan, and Bill McLain and wife Tootie; great-nieces, Michelle Forszt (Randy), and Dakota Butler, and Ann Stubbins (Allan); great-nephews, Dean Clausen and companion Kylie, and Josh Clausen and companion Bailey; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Benjamin and Sarah Thornton, Avery and Ashton Stubbins, and Olivia Clausen; her special golden girls with whom she resided, Lyn Foy, Marsha McCloud, and Wanda Sydnor; special friends and neighbors, Jan and Dave Medley and Jackie Beech; and her little papillon, Riley. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Hazel Thornton; two brothers, Kester and James McLain; and two nieces, Linda Thornton and Deborah Butler.

She was a member of the West Terre Haute First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Coffman officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday. The family kindly suggests that in lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the West Vigo Community Center, where she had many years of enjoyment.
