Paul W.Mishler Sr.

BRAZIL — BRAZIL — Paul W. Mishler Sr., 86, of Brazil, passed away at home Sunday, June 10, 2012, with his family by his side.  

He was born in Clay County, Ind., Aug. 31, 1925, the son of Ralph and Adeline (Barding) Mishler. Mr. Mishler served his country in the United States Navy as a Motor Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked at Arketex Clay Plant, in Brazil, for 22 years before working as a truck driver for Wabash Valley and Underwood Trucking.

Paul enjoyed visiting with friends, and family, and dancing. He was a member of the American Legion Post 2 as well as the Veterans of Foreign Wars 1127.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita (Buchholz) Mishler; brother, Richard Mishler; and grandson, Joshua Barker.

He is survived by two sons, Paul W. Mishler (Jill) and Keith Mishler (Denise); a daughter, Meri (Matt) Barker, all of Brazil; grandchildren, Ryan Mishler (April), Bryan Mishler (Amanda), Tommy Mishler, Miranda (Dan) Whitted, Brooke Taylor, Brandi Butler, Kendi (Tony) Sanabria, Cody Bryan, Cory Bryan, Dakota Barker, and Jennifer (Alan) Gore; great-grandchildren, Zach, Haley, Luke, Bo, Morgan, Riley, Madison, Kaidan, Quyncee, Mia, Maley, and Mason; sister, Shirley (Charles) Bell; a brother, Jim Mishler (Almeda); as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Graveside services will be at Clearview Cemetery, Monday, June 18, 2012, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Howard Hughes officiating. At his request, cremation services have been entrusted to French Funeral Home. Visit www.frenchfuneralhome.com to light a candle in his memory.
