TERRE HAUTE — Karen “Kay” Hood, 67, of Terre Haute, died at 1:06 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1. 2012, in Union Hospital Clinton. She was born June 18, 1944, in Clinton, to Oscar Leach and Marjorie Hollingsworth Leach. She was a cook for the Copper Bar.

She is survived by her four daughters, Sheila Ketner and husband Keith, Jenny Wieland and husband Rob, Emily Myers and husband Doug, and Christina Kirchoff and fiancé Rodney Cheesman; two sons, Billy Hargrave Jr. and fiancé Becky Wycoff and Danny Hargrave Sr.; one brother, Ronnie Leach; one sister, Betty Holston; special children, Margaret DeLattre, Elizabeth Pastore, Steve Cramer, Leanne Meadlo, Windy Silvers, Crystal Smock, Dan Hood, Kim Hineman, and Lesli Pringle; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dan Hood; one son, Gary Jackson; one granddaughter, Sara Ketner, and one sister, Judy Cox.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at Highland Cemetery, with Bishop Dennis Sanders officiating. Mattox-Wood Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help on funeral expenses, mail to Emily Myers, 2536 N. Co. Rd. 300 E., Center Point, IN 47840.
