CLINTON — Margaret T. “Peggy” Penman, 94, of Clinton passed away on Aug. 24, 2012, at 2:25 a.m. in her residence. She was born on Nov. 9, 1917, in Clinton to James Penman Sr. and Mary Ellen Penman.

She worked in civil service for 28 years and retired in 1970. The highlight of her career was in 1960 she was the secretary to the Chief of Engineer of the B70 Bomber. She was a member of the Jobs Daughters, OES No. 254, National Secretaries Association, N.A.R.F.E., Scientology and the First Christian Science of Terre Haute.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Penman Jr., and a sister, Emma J. Prohovic.

She is survived by special friends Patty Turchi and Bob Alexander.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Frist Funeral Home with Eastern Star Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. Service will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Bob Howard officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jobs Daughters. Online condolences may be made at:
