TERRE HAUTE —
Ella “Pauline” Sartain, 96, of Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born on Jan. 22, 1917, in Brazil, to Francis Marion and Mary Josephine Pauline (Schulz) Mershon, the sixth of seven children.
Pauline is survived by her sons, Raymond Sartain Jr. and his wife Marti of Aurora, Colo., and Morris Long Jr. and his wife Jill of St. Louis, Mo.; two grandchildren, Beverly and Ray Sartain III; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death in 1960 by her 6-year-old son, Jimmy (JeeJee) Sartain; granddaughter, Patricia M. Long in October 1992; great-grandson, James L. Long in September 2010; three sisters, Martha, Mary, and Josephine; and three brothers, William “Billy”, Frank, and Edward.
Pauline will be laid to rest next to her parents and brother in Roselawn Memorial Park. Roselawn Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be made at:
