EVANSVILLE, IND. —
Marianne Kurzendoerfer, age 51, of Elk City, Okla., and formerly of Evansville, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2012. Marianne was born June 23, 1960, in Evansville, to Loretta W. (Vaal) and Arthur Frederick Kurzendoerfer. She grew up in Evansville, and later moved with her mother to Elk City, in July 2009. Marianne was a joy to her family; she loved to sew, print, go out to eat and visit with her brothers and sisters.
She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Elk City.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her mother, Loretta Kurzendoerfer; siblings, Laura Kurzendoerfer, Dennis Kurzendoerfer and wife Kathy, Daniel Kurzendoerfer and wife Barbara, Stephen Kurzendoerfer and wife Cheryl, Mark Kurzendoerfer, Susan Cummings and husband Darrell, Bryan Kurzendoerfer and wife Rebecca, and Janet Kirchner and husband Joseph; close friend and care giver, (Aunt) Karen Wilson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A Prayer Vigil was held Feb. 21, 2012, at Whinery-Savage Chapel, in Elk City, officiated by Deacon Paul Albert.
Services will continue in Evansville, with visitation from 3 to 7 p.m CST Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Boone Funeral Home–East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, in Haubstadt, officiated by the Rev. Don Dilger. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, in Evansville. Condolences can be made at:
