TERRE HAUTE — Mary H. Blake, 90, of Terre Haute died Thursday, May 10, 2012. She was born January 5, 1922, in Terre Haute to Henry Mansholt and Catherine Wirtz Berg Mansholt. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband John E. Blake in 1999.

Survivors include a sister, Betty Warner of Brazil; two nieces, Shirley Hartsock of Terre Haute and Cathy Warner Bennani and her husband Ben of AZ; four nephews, David Warner and his wife Joy of Brazil, Joe Berg of Terre Haute, Dennis Berg and his wife Jane of Terre Haute and Jim Berg and his wife Mary Anne of Georgia; and several great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Henrietta Blake, Dorothy Beck, and Rosemary Rushford; a brother, Andrew Berg; and two nephews, John and David Berg.

Mary was a member of St. Benedict Catholic church where she was very active and involved with the hospitality committee and the alter society. Other memberships include Lawton Byrum VFW # 972 Auxiliary, Wayne Newton Auxiliary # 346 where she was past president and past Shapeau of 8 & 40.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:05 P.M. Monday, May 14, 2012, in St. Benedict Catholic Church, 111 South 9th Street, with Father Edmond Goldbach, OFM. CONV., officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to Mass Monday from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 111 South 9th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807 or to Southern Care Hospice, 4624 South Springhill Junction, Terre Haute, IN 74802.
