Gustave R. Stefanik, 83, of Terre Haute died Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Union Hospital. He was born May 31, 1929, in Bethlehem, PA, to Gustave Thomas Stefanik and Catherine Pesola Stefanik. He had a lifelong career with Hercules Incorporated. He is preceded in death by his wife Lucille Patricia Schiller Stefanik in 2009.

Survivors include five daughters, Terry Clapper and her husband, Mike of Beaumont, TX, Trish Stefanik of Harpers Ferry, WV, Cindy Long of Reading, PA, Lynn Hare and her husband, Bruce of Terre Haute, IN, and Pamela Dorton and her husband, Grady of Cochranville, PA; a brother, John Stefanik and his wife Bobby of Reading, PA; a sister, Delores De’Ore and her husband Bob of Bethlehem, PA; seven grandchildren; and one great-grand daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his second mother, Rose Stefanik.

Gus was a loving husband, father, and friend. He enjoyed music and reading and was dedicated to his faith. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Rick Ginther officiating. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There is no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street. If friends should so desire, memorial contributions can be made to Carmelite Monastery, 59 Allendale, Terre Haute, IN 47802-4751.
