TERRE HAUTE — Doris McManaway, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away Nov. 10, 2012, in Royal Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 19, 1930, in Ohio, to Clayton and Cora McFarland. She was a graduate of Olive Branch High School, in Enon, Ohio. Doris was a homemaker for many years, but worked outside the home at Chesty Potato Chips and Columbia Enamel.  

She enjoyed bowling, even throwing a 300 game in her earlier years. She also loved her favorite dog, Indy, a Boston Bull Terrier, of whom she said, “I would not trade an oil well in Texas for that dog.” She was most of all a loving mother and friend and will be missed by many.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank McManaway.

She is survived by two sons, Michael McManaway of Terre Haute, and Douglas Earl McManaway of Ohio; one daughter, Gaile Huff of Terre Haute; one brother, John Clayton McFarland of Phoenix; five grandsons, Nathan Huff, Nicholas Kent, Eric McManaway, Michael Bradley McManaway and Steven Troy McManaway; two great-grandchildren, Ayden and Riley Huff; as well as many other friends, family, and loved ones.
