CASS, IND. — Shirley Ann Pigg, 73, of Cass, passed away 4:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, in her residence. She was born in Hymera, Oct. 10, 1938, the daughter of Raymond Edward Bradbury and Clara Bernice Jenkins Bradbury.

Shirley was a member of the Pentecostal Samaria Church, and formerly was a deli manager at Angell’s.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Tonya Pigg.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Gilbert Pigg Sr., whom she married May 5, 1958; three sons, Gilbert Pigg Jr. (Deni) of Cass, Rick Pigg (Tammy) of Dugger, and Joe Pigg (Karla) of Dugger; two daughters, Teresa Starkey (Mike) and Kim Hux (Rollie), all of Dugger; one brother, Raymond Edward Bradbury Jr. (Iris) of Hymera; one sister, Carolyn Smith (Charlie) of Dugger; nine grandchildren, Michele Sandusky, Mica Starkey, Krystol Dubowski, Johna Schaefer, Tanna Reed, Dusty Pigg, Brody Pigg, Taylor Pigg, and Jalen Pigg; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home, 8185 E. Main St., in Dugger with the Revs. David Adams and Gary Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
