TERRE HAUTE — Larry Wayne Lewis, 63, of Terre Haute, passed away at 1:24 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. He was born Feb. 24, 1949, to Johnnie Lewis and June Ellen (Oty) Lewis. Larry served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Johnnie Lewis.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Debra (Church) Lewis; son, Larry Lewis II; daughters, Leah Lewis (Scott Loudermilk), and Maggie Lewis (Matthew Smith); grandchildren, Lacey Lewis, Peyton Loudermilk, Maddison Lewis and Mackenzie Lewis; and many other loving family members.

Memorial services have been scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 11 a.m., at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive. Family and friends are invited to come to the funeral home at 10 a.m. and share memories about Larry. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the family to help with future expenses. The family will be hosting a reception at his daughter Leah’s home from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, after the service.
