TERRE HAUTE —
Janet A. Murphy, 46, of West Terre Haute, died on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at her residence. She was born June 9, 1966. She was a 1985 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School, and also received an associates’ degree in from Ivy Tech. She was employed with MOSAIC. She was formerly employed with the Terre Haute Housing Authority for more than 29 years.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Willie Murphy.
She is survived by her daughter, Monet Strader Murphy of Terre Haute; mother, Mozine Murphy of Terre Haute; father, Oliver Thompson of Terre Haute; two brothers, Larry Murphy (Fallon), and Danny Hatfield, both of Terre Haute; one sister, Nadine Whitlock of Terre Haute; one uncle, Felix Williams of Gary; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Services will be Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at 12 noon, at the Good Shepherd Baptist Church 1200 E. Davis Ave., with Bishop Quentin Isabell Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. until services Thursday.
