Dave Igleheart

MARSHALL, Ill. — Dave Igleheart, 77, of Marshall, passed away 4:39 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. He was born Sept. 21, 1935, in Owensboro, Ky., the son of Perry and Dorothy Brackett Igleheart. He married Barb Folz on Dec. 11, 1959, in Evansville, Ind.

He retired in 1991 from Regional Hospital in Terre Haute and had been employed at several hospitals prior to being employed at Regional.

Surviving are his wife, Barb: a sister, Margaret of Wadesville, Ind.; a brother, Larry Damm of Evansville; two brothers-in-law, John Folz and Bob (Deb) Folz, both of Evansville; a sister-in-law, Sandy (Jack Markham) Allen of Booneville, Ind.; several nieces and nephews; and several cousins living in the Madisonville area. He was preceded in death by his father, Perry Igleheart; his mother, Dorothy Damm; and his grandparents, including Della Brackett who raised him.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marshall and Helping Hands Society of the church. His hobbies were baking and working with flowers and was very active with Helping Hands of the church. He volunteered his time and efforts to many organizations in the community.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. CST Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at St. Mary’s Church in Marshall with the Revs. Michael Haag and Jeff Grant officiating. Burial will be at Darwin Cemetery, in rural West Union, Ill. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., in Marshall, with the rosary being recited at 3:30 p.m. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands of St. Mary’s Church.
