BRAZIL — Doris Louise Linton, 92, of Brazil, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013. She was born in Brazil, Oct. 8, 1920, the daughter of Carl and Violet (Erwin) Tiefel. She graduated from Staunton High School in 1939. She married Arthur “Art” W. Linton on July 24, 1943; they were blessed with 62 years of marriage.

Doris loved living on her farm and was a homemaker for many years. While raising her family Doris worked in the cafeteria at Van Buren Elementary. During World War II she worked as a manager at RCA in Indianapolis.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School, VBS, and was president of Ladies Aid for many years. Later she attended Christ Community Church. Doris enjoyed preparing large family meals, fellowshipping with her family and after dinner walks. Her greatest joy was her family. She treasured her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and they loved her immensely.

The family is thankful for her loving caregivers Joyce, Jean, Barb, Rita, Marion, and Susie.
