Richard J. Reynolds Jr., 57, lifelong Terre Haute resident passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 12, 2013. He was born Feb. 11, 1956, in Terre Haute, to Dr. Richard J. Reynolds and Mary (Boner) Reynolds. They have preceded him in death. He was the retired general manager of Western Tar Products. He attended grade school at St. Patrick and was a 1974 graduate of Schulte High School.
He is survived by his significant other of 11 years, Sue Wright; two daughters, Melissa Reynolds, and Elizabeth Hinds and husband Ryan; a son, Richard J. Reynolds III; four sisters, Mary Lou Reynolds, Debbie Reynolds, Nancy Cole and husband Robert, and Barbara Lorek and husband Tom; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Joseph University Parish on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at 11 a.m., with Friar Mark Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. For those who choose, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
