Charlene Meany, 46, of Terre Haute, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, in Meadows Manor North Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 3, 1966, in Clinton, to Jack and Madeline Kent Clore.
Charlene was an LPN for many years with Meadows Manor North Nursing Home and will be missed dearly by her fellow employees. She received an associate’s degree from Ivy Tech Community College in nursing, and always enjoyed her work. She had a passion for helping and caring for people in need. She also enjoyed fishing, and gardening in her flower garden, as well as going to truck shows with her loving husband Steve.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Kim Rickard; and one brother, Kevin Clore. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Steve Meany; two sons, Tim Meany and his wife Megan, and Tyler Meany, both of Terre Haute; and one daughter, Christina Meany. She also is survived by two brothers, Jack and George Clore; three sisters, Paula Evans, Terry Auman, and Candy Ribay; and one granddaughter, Mackenzie Meany.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tammy Pupilli, Wendy Baker, and the rest of the staff at Meadows Manor North for their care and compassion in their time of need. Not only was Charlene an employee, but she was also a friend that will be truly missed.
As were Charlene’s wishes, cremation has been chosen with a private memorial service to be held for friends and family at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made at any First Financial Bank location in her daughter, Christina Meany’s, name to offset future life expenses.
