TERRE HAUTE —
Linda Holston, 79, of Terre Haute, IN, died Friday, February 8, 2013, in Meadows Manor East. She was born August 13, 1933, in Terre Haute to Richard Bemis and Alice Baker Bemis. Linda was bookkeeper for Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home for 17 years and Haley Brothers Construction for 40 years.
Survivors include her sister, Rosemary Pounds of Terre Haute; sister-in-law, Joan Bemis of Chicago; nieces and nephews, Charles Pounds, Jr. and his wife Shirley, Patrick Pounds and his wife Laura, Kevin Pounds, Charla Pounds, and Melissa Correll, all of Terre Haute, Joel Bemis and Jody Bemis both of Chicago; and several great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oral “Bud” Holston in 1985; her parents; and two brothers, Richard Bemis and Ralph Bemis.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, in Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City with Pastor Kyle Andrews officiating. There is no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society, 1811 S.
