TERRE HAUTE —
Edna Mae Clingerman, 91, of Terre Haute, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, in Union Hospital. Edna was born in Posey Township, in Clay County, to George F. Clingerman and Tina Bell Hauck, on Feb. 12, 1921.
Edna was a retired bookkeeper, having worked for Indiana State University, Silversteine Brothers Furniture, Simplicity Pattern, Jenson Appliance, Pier One and Goodman and Wolfe. She enjoyed playing the organ, piano and the accordion. She loved her cats, dogs and bird watching.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Harrison, Burnice, Fairy Belle, Gladys Pauline and John.
She is survived by two nieces, Mary Lou Modesitt and her husband Jim of Brazil, and Ruth Ann Jones also of Brazil; two nephews, Paul Clingerman and his wife Sue of Terre Haute, and John Shields and his wife Lisa of Terre Haute; and nieces and nephews, Barbara Jean, Janice Mae, Frederick Ivan, Thelma Jane and Roberta Charlene. She also is survived by many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Roselawn Chapel of Memories. There is no visitation before services. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Larry Spear will be officiating. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., in Terre Haute, was entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at:
