TERRE HAUTE —
Imogene Schauber Owens, 93, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully Feb. 6, 2013, in her residence. Imogene was born Jan. 10, 1920, in Clay City, to David Elmer Schauber and Edna Miller Schauber.
Imogene was a graduate of Gerstmeyer High School and had been employed in her earlier years by both Recipe Foods and Quaker Maid.
Imogene was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, Morris Wilbur Owens.
She is survived by two daughters, Nikki J. Gibson and her husband Garry of Terre Haute, and Linda K. Pyles of Land O’ Lakes, Fla. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brett J. Gibson of Terre Haute, Chad J. Gibson and his wife Amy of Terre Haute, Shannon Pyles and Shawn Pyles; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Sydney Gibson, and Meegan, Morgan and Bryant Davis, as well as many other friends and loved ones.
As were Imogene’s wishes, cremation has been scheduled with no services to follow. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., Terre Haute, was entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at:
