CLAY CITY —
Loeva Mae Grafe, of Clay City, passed away Jan. 31, 2013, in Bloomington. She was born May 14, 1927, to Albert and Viola (Leohr) Grafe. She resided in rural Owen County until 2000, at which time she moved to Clay City. She graduated from Patricksburg High School with the class of 1945. She was a member of Jefferson Baptist Church, in Coal City. Loeva was formerly employed by Dr. Jack Glosson, Dr. Forrest R Buell and Williams Harkness Home Health Care. She was a member of the Clay City Business Women’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings and their spouses; brothers, Paul Terrell Grafe, Ershel Grafe, Nelson and Exie Grafe; sisters, Corrine and Robert Thomas, Paulina and Dennis Ruble.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews and their families.
Services will be Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at 1:30 p.m., at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, with Brother David Grafe officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Riley, with prayer only graveside service. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jefferson Baptist Church: C/O Edna Ruth Smith, 13669 Fiscus Cemetery Road, Coal City, IN 47427. Schoppenhorst Funeral Home is located at 301 E. 8th St., in Clay City, State Road 59 South, turn left on 8th Street once in Clay City. Funeral Home will be on the right side of the road.
