CLINTON — Francis Eugene Curry, 74, of Clinton, died at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2012, at Clinton Gardens in Clinton. He was born Jan. 20, 1938, in Centenary, to Francis Marion Curry and Ella Cavaletto-Curry. He married Phyllis Roth Curry, Feb. 1, 1969.

He was a chemical inspector at Mason Hanger, Newport Army Ammunition Plant and retired 2003. He was a member of Scottish Rite of Terre Haute, Masonic Lodge 99 Jerusalem Lodge, Clinton, Shriners Lodge Terre Haute, and Blanford Sportsman Club. He served in the U.S. Army 1956 to 1959. During his illness, Francis received professional and loving care from nurses, doctors and staff for which his family is forever grateful.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Jerry Curry. Survivors includes his wife, Phyllis Curry of Clinton; daughter, Shawna Kendrick and her husband Jim of Clinton; grandson, Kyle Kendrick of Clinton; granddaughter, Claire Kendrick of Clinton; stepdaughter, Starla Mangold of Zionsville; stepgranddaughters, Sarah Williams and Jessi Mangold, all of Zionsville; and several cousins.

In accordance with his wishes there are no services. Giovanini Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clinton Little League Baseball.
