Catherine “Kay” Aubin

TERRE HAUTE — Catherine “Kay” Aubin, 64, of Terre Haute, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in her residence. She was born January 25, 1948, in Thurles Co. Tipperary, Ireland, to Joseph Bourke and Margaret “Peg” Lyons Bourke.

Survivors include her husband, William R. Aubin; one son, Paul Aubin of Terre Haute; one daughter, Sacha Sabin and her husband Robert of Minneapolis, MN; three brothers, Bill Bourke and his wife Mgelda of London, Eddie Bourke of London, and Joe Bourke and his wife Pauline of Ireland; four sisters-in-law, Marie Aubin, Renee Crisafulli and her husband Jim, Christine Morrisette and her husband Bob, and Jeannie Aubin; four grandchildren, Riley Sabin, Harper Sabin, Charlie Aubin, and Elle Marie Aubin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kay was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, graduated Cum Laude from I.S.U. with a degree in Philosophy, was a member of the League of Terre Haute, belonged to Leadership Terre Haute Class 16, was a member of the Girls Bridge Club, and was a member of the Tobies. She was on the Board of Directors of Trees, Inc.    

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2012, in St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Ed Goldbach O.F.M. Conv. officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2012, in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wabash Valley Community Foundation, 2901 Ohio Blvd., Terre Haute, IN  47803.
