TERRE HAUTE —
Helen I. Chapman, 75, of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. She was born April 4, 1937, to Wesley and Thelma (Sisco) Ellinger, and they have preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her bother, Wesley Ellinger Jr.
Her memberships include Ebenezer United Methodist Church and the Wabash Valley Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Chapman; one son, Kevin Chapman; four daughters, Debbie Harding, Anita Harding, Sandy Shuman and husband Michael, and Tammy Scarbrough and husband Greg; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with the Rev. Don Ransford officiating. Calling is scheduled on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations in her memory can be made to either VistaCare Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
