Pamela Sue Tislow, 63, of Terre Haute, and formerly of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born on Oct. 1, 1949, in Sullivan County, to Roy and Mazie Vantlin Tislow. She was a 1967 graduate of Sullivan High School and became a homemaker after graduating from college. She was a member of Oakland Church of Christ.
Surviving members of her family are her son, Royss Ellis of Terre Haute; a daughter, Aavril and her wife Kierstin Bemis Ellis of Terre Haute; two brothers, Jack Tislow and Don Tislow, both of Carlisle; a sister, Norma Barker of Carlisle; five grandchildren, Briella Ellis, Jayda Ellis, Kaylee Ellis, Guage Ellis, and Brailynn Ellis; and her friend, companion, and service dog, Rebel.
Services for Pamela will be 11 a.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, with the Rev. Allan Griggs officiating. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, that contributions may be made to the funeral home to help offset final expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Holmes Memorial Chapel.
