ROCKVILLE — James Allen Parker, 71, of Rockville, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Union Hospital, Clinton. He was born May 2, 1941, in West Terre Haute, to Roy Allen Parker and Wilma Mae Orndorff Parker. He was a 1959 graduate of Concannon High School in West Terre Haute.
Survivors include one daughter, Maggi Gentry of Galveston, Texas; one son, James Parker Jr. of Terre Haute; one sister, Connie Brooker of Rockville; three grandchildren, Sarah Parker, Lucas Moore, and Alise Parker; and one great-grandson, Matthew Aiden Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Todd Rivera; and brother-in-law, Billy Joe Brooker.
He served in the U.S. Air Force; and previously worked for Four Queen’s Hotel and Casino and Teamsters Local 995 in Las Vegas. His memberships were Teamsters Local 995, Las Vegas, and lifetime member of American Trapshooting Association.
Services are 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, 111 East High St., in Rockville. Cremation has been chosen. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the funeral home.
