TERRE HAUTE — Cathryn Rose “Rosie” Howard, 77, of Terre Haute, passed away at 1 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, in her residence. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother for eternity. She was recently preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles E. “Chuck” Howard, whom she married on Aug. 1, 1959, and he passed away on Nov. 3, 2012. She was born Jan. 30, 1935, in West Terre Haute, the daughter of Charles Soloman Nicholas “Friday” Brown and Sarah Ellen (Marshall) Brown.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lou Roberts Williams and husband Dave of Terre Haute; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robin Dean Roberts and Margaret Ann Roberts of West Terre Haute, Randal Wayne Howard and Robin Howard of Terre Haute, and Daniel Joseph Howard and Sherri Howard of Frankfort; two sisters, Donna Jean Bryant and Mary L. Supp; three sisters-in-law, Sally Brown, Dorothy Howard, and Virginia Howard; grandchildren, Kevin William (Shawn), Scott Roberts (Janine), David Lee Williams (Cathy), Sarah Rose Roberts Norton (Dane), Jennifer Williams Cohee (David), Devin Howard (Jamie), Chelsea Howard, Kathryn Howard, Blake Howard, Mary Roberts, and Daniel Howard II; 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Charles “Junior” Brown and Jerry Brown.

Rosie’s funeral service will be 12 noon Friday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third St., in West Terre Haute, with the Rev. Jeremy Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today and prior to services Friday.
