LEWIS — John Robert Chesterfield, 17, of Lewis, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012. He was born on Aug. 1, 1994, to Lelah E. Higginbotham and Wayne L. Chesterfield Jr.

John enjoyed sports, any outdoor activity, art, hot rods, antique cars, and he was an avid Colts fan.

John is survived by his parents, Lelah E. Higginbotham and Wayne L. Chesterfield Jr.; brother, Wayne L. Chesterfield III; half-sister, Cathy Chesterfield; aunts and uncles, William Higginbotham and family, Jane Tarwater and family, Chris Higginbotham and family, Bob Higginbotham and family, Cathy Loudermilk and family, Donna and Jim Weir and their son Vance, Sara House and family, Elsie House and family, Bob House and family, and Laura Chesterfield and family; 17 cousins; 17 second cousins; girlfriend, Diamond; and best friends, Mark Loudermilk, Richard Tarwater, Todd Rally and Steven Certain. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Higginbotham, Jeanetta Higginbotham, Wayne Chesterfield Sr., and Ella Chesterfield; cousin, Robert Higginbotham Jr., and Jordy Chesterfield; uncles, Merrill Chesterfield and Don House; and aunt, Theresa Bickle.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Thursday, June 21, 2012, at 2 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, Terre Haute. Burial will be at Stephens Cemetery in Lewis. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, June 21, 2012, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Online condolences can be made at:
