PARIS, Ill. — Christine L. Eslinger, age 65, of Paris, passed away 8:25 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Union Hospital, in Terre Haute, Ind. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. Mrs. Eslinger was a clerk in the insurance department at UAP Clinic, in Terre Haute. She was born July 18, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas, the daughter of the late Max Wayne and Margueritte Saunders Martin. She married Norman Verlin Eslinger Jr. on March 21, 1967, in Paris, and he preceded her in death May 12, 2011.
She is survived by her children, Christie Cox and husband Jerry of St. Joseph, Tessie Herdes and husband Michael of Clay City, Ill.; grandchildren, Macie and Devyn Kesner, and Lydia and Mega Herdes, all of Clay City, Ill., Nicole, Chas, Alex and Max Cox, all of St. Joseph; brothers, Max Martin of Harlington, Texas, and John Martin and wife Jean of Franklin, Ind.; and a sister, J. KaAlie Keendoka of Chesterton.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Services for will be 6 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Raymond Roberts officiating. Cremation is scheduled after the services. For more information and online condolences please go to:
