  An Interstate 5 bridge over a river north of Seattle collapsed Thursday evening, dumping vehicles and people into the water, the Washington State Patrol said.

Karen Ann Myers Norris Kaperak

Karen Ann Myers Norris Kaperak, 70, of Terre Haute, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at her residence. She was born Oct. 11, 1941, in Prairie Creek, to Scottie Myers and Irene Lynch Myers. Her husband, Ronald “Joe” Kaperak, preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, John Norris and wife Cheryl, and Todd Kaperak; daughters, Laura Gilbert and husband Bill, and Andrea “Annie” Lucas and husband Johnny; granddaughter, Aimee Wheeler and husband Ben Porter, and their daughters, Aly and Briley; grandson, Jason Warnock and wife Crystal, and their children, Victoria, Scottie and Zachary; grandson, Brandon Warnock; grandson, Travis Warnock and wife Sierra; and grandsons, John Dalton Norris, Damon Norris and Blade Norris.

As per her wishes her body was donated to science in hopes that her contribution would help others.
