Virginia Mae Schaffer Jones

Virginia Mae Schaffer Jones, of Terre Haute died Monday, August 27, 2012 in Davis Gardens Health Care Center.  She was a Certified Dental Assistant who worked for Dr. William Aitken before retirement.  She was born in Terre Haute, IN to Herbert A. Frisby and Clarice King Frisby.   

Survivors include two daughters, Clarice Waters and her husband Dennis of Winter Haven, Florida and Jean Zoller and her husband Kent of Belleair Beach, Florida;  a step son, Dr. Howard S. Jones, Jr. and his wife Hunter of Brevard, North Carolina;    three grandchildren, Toby Waters and his wife Melody, Brian Zoller and his wife Shelly and Jennifer Zoller;  two step granddaughters, Catherine and Madeleine;  a great-grandson, Derek Zoller;  a cousin, Betty Sovern;  and various nieces including, Kathy Logan, Linda Hall, Carolyn Callecod and Carol Coleman.  She was preceded in death by her parents;  her first husband Roy Schaffer; and her second husband, Howard S. Jones Sr.

Memberships include Maplewood Christian Church, and the Blue Grass Music Association.  Virginia was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Friday, August 31, 2012 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street with Pastor Jeremy Lamb officiating.  Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Friday, August 31, 2012.  Burial will be in Oakley Home Cemetery, Slaughters, Kentucky on Saturday, September 1, 2012.  If friends so desire, Memorial Contributions may be made to Maplewood Christian Church, 2000 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804.
