TERRE HAUTE —
Joseph A. “Joe” Hauer, 66, of Terre Haute, passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, in his residence. He was born in Terre Haute, on March 19, 1946, to Theodore Hauer and Virginia Roehm Hauer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He has worked as a pipefitter, and was owner of Norm’s Glass and Mirror.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Scofield Hauer; one daughter, Jodi Hauer (and Scott Spurlock); and one son, Paul Hauer (and wife Evalee). Also surviving are his grandchildren, Baylee, Saydee, Brady, and Madeline. Other survivors include his brother, Jerry Hauer; and sister, Jeanette Hauer Dunford; and many many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a stranger to few, and a friend to many.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen and a celebration of Joe’s life will be held at Prairieton Firehouse on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at 3 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory. Online condolences may be left at:
