TERRE HAUTE — Susan Elaine Smock, 33, of Terre Haute, passed away in her residence on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012. She was born in Terre Haute on April 22, 1979, to Dale Holbert and Susan Schoemaker Holbert.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Smock III, as well as her children, Donald Smock IV, Joseph Smock, and Stephanie Smock. Also surviving is her mother, Susan Frey and husband Richard Frey; one sister, Angela Nelson and husband Mike Nelson; one brother, Dale Holbert; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. She also is survived by her grandmother, Barb Schoemaker; mother-in-law, Darlyn Browning; father-in-law, Donald Smock Jr. and wife Loralee Smock; and sister-in-law, Michelle Whitford and husband Dan Whitford. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Holbert; and one brother, Greg Holbert.

A memorial service will be at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at 2 p.m., with her father-in-law, Don Smock Jr., officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 11 a.m. until services. Cremation will follow services. Online condolences may be left at:
