TERRE HAUTE — Geneva Branham, 97, of Terre Haute died Friday evening, July 27, 2012 in Meadows Manor North. She had worked at Columbian Enameling, DX Sunray Oil Company and Indiana State University business office before retiring in 1981. She was born May 5, 1915 in Hymera, Indiana to William Branham and Olive Nicholson Branham.

Survivors include her sister, Vivian Froeb of Terre Haute; a nephew, Rick Froeb of Terre Haute; a niece, Kay Copus and her husband, Robert, of Colorado Springs, CO;  a great-niece, Stephanie Slutz and her husband, Mike; two great-nephews, James Copus and Matthew Copus; a great-great-niece, Aria Copus; a great-great-nephew, Kaden Slutz; and a very dear friend of the family, Bob Truttier. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Perry Branham; two sisters, G. L. “Jerry” Branham and Betty Hart; and two brothers-in-law, Lee Hart and Karl Froeb.

Geneva was a graduate of Garfield High School and a member of Maplewood Christian Church where she was active in the Sonshine Club. She also was a very active volunteer at Meadows Manor North where she assisted with many resident activities including helping with Bingo and also volunteered with the Union Hospital Chaplain’s Office.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in Roselawn Memorial Park chapel with Mark Gallagher officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
